Meetings

The Northwest 4-H Regional Council meets twice per year:

  • Annual Meeting: November 19, 2011

  • General Meeting: March 17, 2012

Membership of the Northwest 4-H Regional Council includes 12 district councils.

All are welcome to attend the regional meetings.  Each district is allowed three votes at the meetings – 2 registered leaders and 1 senior member.

At the Annual Meeting each district and regional committee presents a written report of its activities for the past year.

Beef, Horse, and Life Skills & Other Animals Project groups meet the same day.

  • Beef – 2 votes per district

  • Horse – 2 votes per club

  • Life Skills & Other Animals – 1 leader and 1 member vote per district

Northwest Regional Fees

$30 per club:  A 4-H club in the first year of operation is exempt from paying this regional fee.

$10.00 per registered 4-H member in a club

This fee is for:

Provincial 4-H Fee                              $8.00

Alberta 4-H Centre at Battle Lake    $1.00

Focus on 4-H                                       $1.00

 

From the Northwest 4-H Safety Fund, the Northwest 4-H Regional Council will pay the remaining $2.00 per member for the Provincial 4-H fee (insurance and council expenses) of $10 per member.

 

4-H clubs pay the regional club and member fees to their district council. 

District councils collect fees from all 4-H clubs in their district and forward regional dues to the Northwest 4-H Regional Council by January 10.

Northwest 4-H Region Policies

Payment: Payment for all Northwest Regional programs must be by club or council cheque or a money order.  Personal cheques are not accepted.

Refunds: Refunds will only be given if requested up to ten days prior to the starting date of an event.

NSF Cheques: $25.00 fee
