Cleaver Kids: Who Are They?

Cleaver Kids Leader GuideCleaver Kids in 4-H Alberta is for children aged 6-8 years. Cleaver Kids is an introduction to 4-H through fun, hands on learning that is age appropriate.

To register with Cleaver Kids for the 2016-2017 club year, the child must be age six as of January 1, 2017 and must not have received their ninth birthday by that time. Those who will turn nine before January 1, 2017 will register as Junior 4-H members.

Engagement of Cleaver Kids at club level is FUN and requires family involvement.

4-H Clubs will design their activities to focus on skills development and are to be progressive in preparing children for 4-H member requirmeents as they grow.

 

Cleaver Kids Focus On:

  • Developing new friendships.
  • Developing a sense of belonging to the club and community.
  • Developing listening skills and abilities to express themselves.
  • Learning to set goals, track progress and celebrate achievements.
