FEES AND POTENTIAL FUNDING SOURCES
There is an annual fee of $55.00 per registered member, payable to the 4-H Foundation of Alberta. This fee covers the costs of new project creation, programming, insurance fees and volunteer training.
Some 4-H districts also charge additional fees for programs and events they provide; new clubs need to contact their local 4-H District for this information.
In many cases, school-based clubs may not be able to collect the annual fee directly from members as school jurisdictions consider this to be a part of regular school programming. Alternate sources of funding may need to be explored.
Alberta 4-H Grants
Various sponsors, along with 4-H Alberta, offer grants to be used by 4-H clubs, districts and regions in improving 4-H and the communities they participate in. Funding is available to all 4-H clubs in Alberta. Clubs submit a club sponsorship form, which is included in their on line registration. Funds are distributed through the 4-H Foundation of Alberta.
