Every day you make countless decisions that require the use of your evaluation skills. You decide what to eat, what to wear, what picture to post on Instagram, and the list goes on and on. The process you use to make these and other decisions is what judging can help you to develop. Become a better, more efficient decision maker by keenly observing, analyzing and comparing various animals or items in a class. Test your memory, cultivate your communication skills and practice organizing your thoughts while giving oral reasons. Plus, vie for amazing opportunities to travel and compete with fellow 4-H members in national and international judging contests that’ll open your eyes to agriculture around the world.
- Participants must qualify at their region's competition in order to compete for travel awards
- Once members have qualified for provincial judging, the regional specialist will give them an invite for the provincial competition and registration information.
- To fill the program 4-H Alberta may invite all 4-H members 14 years and older as of Aug 1 of the competition year to attend the event for learning and practice. These members will be eligible for all class awards.
