Program Description: Program:

One Alberta delegate, along with two other Canadian delegates, will spend five weeks in the United Kingdom, each as the guest of several families. They will attend the Royal Show in Warwickshire and visit the Experimental Farms in Sittingbourne.

Each province, which has sent a delegate to the U.K. in the current year, will host a delegate in October/November. The visiting U.K. delegates do not necessarily have to be billeted in the home of the “twin” delegate.

  • To establish international friendships.
  • To exchange information, ideas and become aware of potential agriculture, food and natural resources technology transfer.
  • To broaden their outlook on the world by experiencing another cultural environment.
It also provides the opportunity for outgoing delegates:
  • To learn about agriculture, food and natural resources in the United Kingdom.
