Prerequisites: PDP 1 & 2: 4-H members 13 to 15 years old as of January 1, 2010.

PDP Plus: 4-H members 14 to 16 years old as of January 1, 2010 and is available for 4-H participants who have previously attend PDP, or who are 16 years of age and not attending CLUB WEEK. 14 and 15 year old members who have not attended a PDP program in a previous summer must attend either PDP 1 or PDP 2. No 4-H member may attend both a PDP and a CLUB WEEK program in the same year.


Program Description: People Developing People (PDP) is a program for 4-H members aged 13–15. People Developing People Plus is available for 4-H participants who have previously attended PDP, or who are 16 years of age and not attending CLUB WEEK. PDP PLUS is for 4-H members 14 – 16 years of age. 14 and 15 year old members who have not attended a PDP program in a previous summer must attend either PDP 1 or PDP 2. No 4-H member may attend both a PDP and a Club Week program in the same year. 

People Developing People (PDP) provides opportunites for 4-H members to build opportunities for 4-H members to build leadership and citizenship skills, while learning and playing in a community-based environment. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on skill sessions, traditional camp activities and a special interest session focused on enjoying recreation and leisure(may include crafts, healthy living, outdoor living, water activites, etc.)

Delegates will also participate in sessions and a forum based on the following themes:

PDP 1 and 2 - Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Living - sessions may focus on sustainable agriculture, energy and households, Environmental Farm Plans (EFPs), and other agriculture and rural opportunities.

PDP Plus - Building Sustainable and Spirited Rural Communities - sessions may focus on youth engagement, perceptions of youth, event coordination and planning, rural issues and social advocacy.

Cost for 4-H Members
$150 registration fee per member (includes GST, group photo and t-shirt).
