Program Description
Calling all senior 4-H members! Here is your chance to participate in a unique educational experience and possibly earn the privilege of becoming an Alberta 4-H Ambassador at the same time. At Selections, participants take part in sessions, group discussions, and activities revolving around a central theme of interest and relevance to 4-H youth.

While senior members explore the various facets of this exciting theme, they are also being given a chance to represent Alberta and 4-H at educational award programs in other parts of Canada and in the United States. Approximately 50 delegates will be chosen to represent Alberta 4-H. Opportunities include the Montana 4-H Congress, National 4-H Citizenship Seminar, National 4-H Conference, California 4-H Exchange, USA National 4-H Conference, Alberta/Northwest Territories Agriculture Development Tour, and other possible programs/ events.

Prerequisites
Any 4-H member, 16 years of age or older, as of January 1, 2011. Participants must be actively enrolled in 4-H in the 2010-2011 year. Participants must not have previously been selected for a major award trip granted at Alberta 4-H Selections. Participants must attend the entire Selections program.

How to Apply:
Complete one Yearly 4-H Diary Form for each official year of 4-H membership up to September 30, 2010.

All Yearly 4-H Diary Forms must be complete, neat and legible. The applicant’s signature and the 4-H leader’s signature must appear on the form. We will not clarify or confirm unclear or missing data.

Application Deadline:
Submit your Yearly 4-H Diary Forms, completed application form and payment to your Regional 4-H Office by Jan 15, 2011.

Participants who are accepted but are unable to attend Selections must notify us by phone 403-742-8353 by April 15, 2011. If you notify us after April 15, 2011 you will forfeit your registration fee.
