26th Annual Trees For My Community
Tree Canada Foundation, in partnership with Strathcona County, Alberta Pacific Forest Industries, Shell Canada, Edmonton Community Services and the Alberta Naturalization Network Society (ANNS) is offering tree seedlings to 4-H clubs for club or community use.
A limited number of bundles (consisting of 15 to 25 seedlings) are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your club may apply to receive up to 100 trees. Your seedlings will be delivered to you in late May 2010 to 4-H approved government courier locations to coincide with National Forest Week.
Seedlings must be planted on community or public lands, for example, recreation areas, schoolyards and playgrounds. Clubs planting trees for their community are required to submit photos to the 4-H and Agriculture Education Branch for a project report that will be forwarded to the sponsoring agencies. Clubs that send in their reports and photos will have their orders filled first the following year.
