Host an International Delegate
During the summer of 2010, Alberta 4-H hosted exchange delegates from Korea and Taiwan. As this program was a great success we will be extending this opportunity to both of these countries again. This means that we will be in need of host families during the summer months when these delegates come to experience 4-H, agriculture and our way of life in Alberta and Canada. As a host family there is no expectations that you will tour your guest around the province, only that you will welcome and share your family life.
Travel to Korea or Taiwan
As part of our reciprocal agreement, Alberta 4-H has the opportunity to send a delegate to both Korea and Taiwan. During your stay, you will be hosted by local 4-H families, take part in cultural experiences and learn about 4-H and agriculture. Delegates will be responsible for the cost of flights, souvenirs and any other incidental costs. The majority of accommodations and meals will be covered during your stay. This opportunity is directed towards high school graduates and university aged members and alumni. All interested individuals will be contacted regarding the selection process for the exchange.
Whether you choose to host a delegate or travel to Korea or Taiwan, you will be richer through the experience!
