What is the Alberta 4-H Legacy Fund? |
The Alberta 4-H Legacy Fund supports Alberta 4-H by using the interest earned by the fund. The 4-H Foundation of Alberta manages this fund, on behalf of all Alberta 4-H members, leaders, clubs and councils. The 4-H Foundation of Alberta is committed to growing the Alberta 4-H Legacy Fund to a point where it can provide an automatic yearly grant to clubs and councils.

Legacy Fund History
In six years with donations from clubs, individuals and corporate businesses, this fund has reached $150,000 in principle, while providing over $28,000 in grants to Alberta 4-H groups. 4-H clubs have received support from this fund since 2001 for special events or member and leader skill enhancement.
The Legacy Fund has assisted clubs, districts, and regions enhance their members and leader experiences through programs, workshops and special events.
ALL unallocated donations are contributed to the Alberta 4-H Legacy Fund.

Alberta 4-H Legacy Fund Goal
The Fund's goal is to improve the long-term quality of the 4-H program in Alberta plus provide new opportunities for youth and volunteer leaders.
What was the $90 for 90 4-H Years Campaign?
In recognition of the 90th Anniversary of Alberta 4-H in 2007, the 4-H Foundation of Alberta conducted a donation campaign to enhance the long-term viability of the 4-H program in Alberta.
Alberta 4-H is blessed with a vibrant volunteer leadership base, enthusiastic 4-H members, dedicated staff and phenomenal corporate support. Building a long term lasting legacy for Alberta 4-H is a primary goal of the 4-H Foundation of Alberta.
