How do I submit an article to the 4-H Alberta Magazine?
Would you like to receive the 4-H Alberta magazine but currently do not? The magazine mailing list is created based on the youngest member of each family being identified as the recipient of the magazine. The mailing list is updated regularly but if you are a new member or leader or friend of 4-H and have not received a copy of the magazine please contact us at magazine@4h.ab.ca. New members and leaders are added as they are registered so you may not receive the December issue but should be getting the April edition.
Due to the size of the PDFs (9593kb), downloading through a high speed connection is recommended.

Submission Guidelines
Your stories are important to us, and we want to see them published in the next issue of the
Alberta 4-H Magazine.
Here are a few tips to ensure that this happens:

Articles should be 150-200 words.

Some examples for possible article topics might be: a fun and interesting event that you and
your club took part in; an exchange that you went on; a fundraiser that your club was a part of; a
lesson you have learned from your 4-H experience or an innovative project or activity.

Articles should NOT contain long lists of results.

Photos are a huge complement to any article – please send HI-RES pictures, as attachments via email. Please do not embed the photo(s) into the email itself.

If you do send a photo, please be sure to name ALL of the people who are in the photo, and
include where the photo was taken. For example: Jill and John at the Alberta 4-H Provincial Beef Heifer Show.

NOTE: We attempt to make every effort to accommodate each article that is received; however, articles
