Program Description:

 

You are invited to attend Snow Fest!

WHEN - FEBRUARY 20-21 TUESDAY TO FRIDAY

WHERE – WHIPERING PINES BIBLE CAMP, HIDDEN VALLEY SKI RESORT AND CYPRESS HILLS PROVINCIAL PARK IN ELKWATER

WHO – ANY 4-H MEMBERS 15 AND UNDER

WHAT – A FUN FILLEDWAY TO SPEND YOUR WEEK OFF OF SCHOOL! THIS YEAR WE WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL DAY AND INCLUDE SNOWSHOEING AND SKATING INTO OUR PROGRAMMING.

PRESENTED BY – THE SOUTHERN ALBERTA REGIONAL 4-H COUNCIL

Please fill out the information on the form attached below and return by February 7, 2017. Be sure to print clearly and include an email address so that the remaining 4-H Programming Forms can be sent for each delegate. I will be in attendance at the 100 Anniversary Celebrations in Lethbridge on January 7 if you would like to hand deliver to me at that time. Thanks, Shirley

Once a member commits to attending SNOWFEST 2018, requests bussing and indicates rentals needed there will be NO refund unless accompanied by a Doctor’s note. NSF charges will have a service fee of $25.00 plus resulting bank charges. Please make cheques payable to SOUTHERN ALBRTA REGIONAL 4-H COUNCIL, including costs for skiing or snowboarding. Families may make one cheque out for all children, but please use a separate registration form for each child. Registration package and payment need to be returned by February 7, 2018 to: SNOWFEST

To save a registration spot, forms can be emailed to shirleyjago@live.ca but will not be deemed complete until payment is received.

Please bring warm sleeping bags, pillows, slippers, Ski Equipment, Skates, and a Helmet. A complete packing list will be sent via email with programming forms after package and payment is received.

As this is a winter trip it is important to dress appropriately for the activities being undertaken. Inappropriate clothing will negatively affect the experience! For Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding the following equipment is recommended: 1. Long socks including a spare pair for wet feet.

2. Ski pants or waterproof pants – track pants or jeans are NOT appropriate but may be worn underneath as dry clothes.

3. Warm sweaters or multi layers to adjust for altering conditions.

4. Winter Gloves – wool mittens are NOT appropriate

5. Waterproof winter jacket.

6. neck warmer / scarf

7. Sunglasses / Ski Goggles/sunscreen

8. Toque
