4-H Canada - Going Global Exchanges

Deadline: November 30, 2019 11:55 PM
Location: across Alberta

Program Description:

Are you a senior 4-H member or alumni between the ages of 18 and 25? Through 4-H Canada’s Going Global Exchange program, you can explore one of seven countries around the world.

The Going Global Exchange program allows you to share and exchange new and innovative practices in agriculture and learn about global food security issues from a local, community-based perspective.

This program is a reciprocal international exchange where you will be twinned – or paired together – with a 4-H member from another country. Explore the world as only a 4-H’er can!

While experiencing another country, you will:

  • Expand your global perspective and cultural understanding
  • Learn about 4-H programming in other countries
  • Learn about sustainable agriculture practices
  • Explore issues related to food security

"I feel that participating in the Going Global Exchange was one of the best experiences of my life. It helped me develop a better sense of the world outside Canada, and peak my interest in global issues. I learned many important lessons and met many amazing, life-changing people. I highly recommend this program to any youth who wants to learn more about the world and aspires to make it better." - Going Global Exchanges participant
