Program Description:


Welcome to 2018 Peace Regional 4-H Days!

We are looking forward to a busy weekend of shows, competition, fellowship and fun.

Thank you to the organizing committee for putting the program together and for making it accessible to everyone involved in 4-H.

Non-members and members that are on a break can enjoy activities put on by our region's Ambassadors and Key Members. Members are encouraged to cheer on their Colour Groups throughout the weekend!!

There is something for everyone! Enjoy the weekend - Yours in 4-H!

Note from the Committee:

The Peace Regional Days Event will follow the 4-H Alberta and Peace Regional policies that govern each project. The 4-H Alberta Code of Conduct will be maintained by all participants. It is the members’ responsibility to ensure that they are familiar with these policies.

The Peace Regional Days Event will be open to any 4-H members registered in the projects they are entering in.
Members must be in good standing within the Peace Region.

The main focus of the Peace Regional Days Event is to provide an opportunity for Peace Region 4-H members to meet and network with others who have common interests and to compete in a friendly environment with fellow 4-H members. Members will learn about a variety the projects that 4-H in the Peace has to offer, as well as developing their own skills.

The most important part of the weekend is to have fun!!!

All 4-H members and their families are responsible for their own accommodations.

There is a block of 10 rooms for Peace 4-H Regional Days at Paradise Inn and Suites in Valleyview for June 15-17, 2018, these rooms are Pet Friendly! When booking please us group code PEACE4H and please book before June 8, 2018.

Camping is available on site at no charge – there are no hookups.

Please note: You are considered to be on a 4-H program site and 4-H rules will apply.

**Alcohol and tobacco use are not permitted within the program boundaries.

Entry Eligibility:
Any officially registered 4-H member from Alberta and the BC Peace Block, between the ages of 9 and 20 as of January 1, 2018 is eligible to enter the show classes. All 4-H family members are welcome to take part in the social part of the weekend. 

Members compete in events according to their age (Junior, Intermediate and Senior) and or level (equine).

All 4-H members registered for any event must wear their back number all weekend to be eligible
for a special prize to be drawn on Sunday!

2 meal tickets will be provided to each registered member that can be used for breakfast of lunch. Supper will be provided to all on Saturday night however you will need to pick up your ticket at the registration desk.

Members that have club uniforms/shirts are encouraged to wear them during the weekend.

Cancellations made on or before June 1, 2018 will receive half of their registration fees back. Cancellations after this date will forfeit their entire fee.

4-H Leaders and adults associated with the clubs are responsible for adequate supervision of their members at all times. Every member registered for the event must have an adult who will be responsible for them during the weekend.

Parent/Guardian/Leader Participation:
There will be a “VOLUNTEER SIGN UP” sheet at the time of registration, each club is asked to provide a volunteer for one of the activities during the weekend. The Regional Days committee require some assistance with marking judging cards and hearing oral reasons, security, camp ground clean up, barn/stall clean up, handling supplies and equipment, selling t-shirts etc. The equine show will require ring stewards, tack checkers, event set ups, rakers, line judges, a judge for the Dummy Roping, and Jump re-setters for the Canine Agility. If you are able to assist in any
of these areas please contact the Regional Specialist before the event or let the registration desk know when you arrive that you are able to help.

All Member Activities:
These hands on activities are open to all 4-H members who do not have their project animal at Regional Days. If you want to participate in judging or the Craft and Project Showcase we ask that you still pre-register.

There will be a number of activities planned for members when they are not showing or for our up and coming 4-Hers. Please see the registration desk at Regional Days for more information.
