Activity Period

We strive to offer a wide variety of activities so that there is something for every campers’ taste and skills. There are four 1-hour periods each day where skill groups rotate through a series of activities, on land and water. Some of these activities include: canoeing, archery, low ropes (4-H Centre only), teamwork, outdoor explorer, cooking, outdoor cooking, arts and crafts, dance, gaga ball, and sports.

Leadership Training

In addition to our instructional activity periods, we also offer training in leadership and communication skills. Campers will learn about these essential life skills in hands-on experiential sessions. Each session  concludes with a thorough debriefs, ensuring campers understand the fundamental elements of these skills and how it has practical application to their everyday lives.

Camp-wide Speciality Event

Our camp-wide specialty events change based on the week, but may include team competitions, skit night, campfires, night games, a trivia night, colour war, theme meals, counsellor hunt, carnival, STEM experiments, slip n’ slide and water games, a banquet and evening dance, and leadership and teamwork training. Our camp-wide speciality programming ensures that every day feels unique and campers will never be able to predict what comes next!

Meal Times

Meals are served buffet-style three times a day, with additional snack times. Our chefs create a variety of tasty but nutritious offerings. We accomodate guests with vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose free diets. Our meal times include exciting table dismissals, theme meals, and maybe a jello-eating contest.

Counsellors and Camp Staff

All of our counsellors are 4-H members themselves and the majority were former campers - this provides our campers with a sense of security, mentorship and support which in turn helps them gain the confidence to make new friendships and develop independence. Our counsellors and campers are supporting by caring and committed staff members, who lead our camp programs and create memorable experiences for the entire camp.

Goal of Camp

A goal we have each year for our camps is to ensure we are maximizing our campers potential for growth and learning. In order to grow, we need to ensure that our camps are places where young people: develop positive relationships with peers and adults; Feel physically and emotionally safe; Make decisions and practice leadership; and learn new skills. With these elements at play, our camps help 4-H members grow into capable, caring, and contributing individuals who will be able to successfully navigate adulthood and be positive and effective citizens in their rural communities and beyond.

Please Note:

  • If you have a bunking request, please note that you may only list one fellow camper. Please put your bunk request in the Note section.
