FCC 4-H Club Fund

With the continued support of Farm Credit Canada (FCC), we’re providing another year of the FCC 4-H Club Fund. These funds are available to all 4-H clubs, districts and regions across Canada. Together with FCC, our goal is to help young Canadian’s “Learn To Do By Doing” in a safe, inclusive and fun environment.

To apply, your club must:

  • be a registered Canadian 4-H club, district or region in good standing
  • complete last year’s reporting (if funding was received in 2017)
  • agree to engage and recognize local FCC representatives in your FCC-funded activities

4-H Canada and Farm Credit Canada (FCC) are pleased to announce the FCC 4-H Club Fund for 2019-2020. These funds are available to all 4-H clubs, districts and regions across Canada. With the continued support of Farm Credit Canada, our goal is to help young Canadians “Learn To Do By Doing” in a safe, inclusive and fun environment.  
 Funding available $110,000 will be available in grants of up to $500 per club, district or region. 

Eligibility
• Applications must be from a registered Canadian 4-H club, district or region in good standing. 
• All reporting from previous years must be complete in order for a club, district or region to be eligible for new funding in 2018-2019.
• Any club that receives funding and is located within 100 km of its local FCC office must:
o Agree to attend a cheque presentation opportunity with FCC staff in a mutually agreed upon location, and 
o Indicate how the club proposes to recognize and engage local FCC representatives in events funded by FCC 
 
Activities eligible for funding include, but are not limited, to: 
• Costs associated with developing existing programs and activities
• Costs associated with events, such as transportation costs and entrance and admission fees
• Costs associated with club participation in exchanges and club trips
• Developing or purchasing resource materials (leader, volunteer, activity materials)
• Volunteer support and recognition
• Speaker fees and recognition
• Seed money for local club fundraising
• Purchase of equipment and supplies (Achievement Day, sports equipment, activity supplies, outdoor equipment, trophies, and recognition of members) 
 
Exclusions  This grant will not support:
• Programs and/or projects that benefit one individual 
• Capital projects/capital expenditures (machinery, buildings and refurbishment costs, other)
• Program registration fees for conferences or seminars
