S - Regional - Sheep Learning and Breeding Project Show - Beef Breeding Project Show

Program Description:

 

The South 4-H Regional Sheep Learning Day and Sheep Breeding Project Show will be held at the Taber Agriplex on Saturday, May 18th, 2019.

Registration is at 9:30 with learning sessions, open to everyone, at 10:30.  

Sessions include rumen function, tools of the trade, carcass evaluation, and others with a stand-alone Cleaver segment.

Opening ceremonies of the show are at 12:30. The show, alternating with beef classes, starts at 1:00pm.

The show includes ewe classes, showmanship classes and a prospect market lamb class.  

Show rules will be provided, once show entry is received.  Stalling is provided.

The show committee would like to invite Cleavers to the learning day and to show in a Cleaver ewe lamb class, showing as a split in the prospect lamb class.


The South 4-H Regional Beef Breeding Project Show will be held at the Taber Agriplex on Saturday, May 18th, 2019.

Members may be interested in attending the South 4-H Regional Sheep Learning Day, open to everyone – registration is at 9:30 with learning sessions, at 10:30.

**Flock Competition will include a 500-word essay emailed by May 10,2019 answering the following question: ‘What skills have I gained from growing my flock’.

Every member is automatically entered in a Showmanship Class using an animal of their own.

Entries and Flock Essays may be scanned and emailed to shirleyjago@live.ca
